The Interactive Interference Installation lets you interactively perceive the phenomenon of destructive interference. By moving in a darkened room, you discover quiet and loud locations.
A variety of sound frequencies change this pattern. Places previously perceived as quiet now seem to be loud. This unique experience is created using two speakers that play opposite sound frequencies. This causes the sound waves to overlap in certain places so that they cancel each other out and make it seem quiet. In other places they overlap and we perceive the sound there to be loud. An interactive game with physics and sound.
